P/T Occupational Specialist

You will have the opportunity to work with clients across the life span to make a lifetime of difference.

Typical duties include: Intake, evaluations, creation of intervention plans and programs in support of treatment and delivery. The integration of parent training into home programs is a key part of every treatment plan to include OT strategies for clients and their families. Incorporate communications and behavior strategies into therapy sessions.

Responsible for recommending and implementing environmental adaptions to promote success; Observe, note and perform data collection and compile reports. Participate in transdisciplinary clinical team meetings and consult across disciplines.

Position is 15-20 hours per week (Monday-Friday9A-5P) with flexible hours.

Work is on The Els Center for Excellence® Campus in a typical interior/work office with occasional outdoor events that could contain a moderate noise element.

Required Qualifications:

+ Masters degree in OT

+ Minimum of 3 years clinical experience with those on the autism spectrum

+ Licensed by the State of Florida Department of Health

+ Certification by the National Board for Certification of Occupational Therapy

+ Knowledge of behavioral and communicative principles and techniques for individuals on the autism spectrum

+ Bilingual in Spanish or Brazilian Portuguese a plus
