Els for Autism developed and launched several social enterprises that provide learning opportunities to clients and generate revenue to support their specific programs and services.
Powered by Els for Autism, the Big Easy Cafe
by Ernie Els is furthering our vision of creating a world of endless possibilities for individuals with ASD.
Located inside the Stoops Family Adult Services Building on The Els Center of Excellence Campus, our cafe serves as one of our state-of-the-art vocational labs supporting daily living and vocational training for the clients in our Adult Day Training (ADT) program and individuals enrolled in our Work Experience (WE) program. In our cafe, our adult clients learn essential skills to excel in the food industry. The cafe is also a place of meaningful paid employment for an autistic adult.
U Can Employ (UCE), powered by Els for Autism, serves as a guide for businesses, large and small, to build an inclusive workforce. UCE offers comprehensive guidance to businesses seeking to harness the potential of autistic talent.
By leveraging our expertise, companies can become an autism inclusive employer and create supportive work environments that empower individuals with autism to thrive.
