Josh Silver Banks Memorial Scholarship Fund

Josh Silver Banks was well-known at Els for Autism as an incredible man who brought happiness and inspiration to everyone he met.

Josh Silver shot

Josh lived a passionate life, and enjoyed many hobbies such as food, yoga, horseback riding, hiking, dance, and sailing. He was also a talented artist, and loved to express himself through his art. A lifelong passion for water led Josh to work at The US Sailing Center of Martin County. Our Adult Services team supported Josh in his job, where he was known for his cheerful and dedicated work ethic, earning himself the “Most Helpful Team Member” award. Josh loved to paint brightly colored artworks acclaimed by community members and other artists. Josh’s parents donated these artworks to thank Els for Autism for developing his Sailing Center job and for creating a scholarship that keeps Josh’s unique legacy alive by supporting programs and services for individuals with autism.

Josh Silver Banks passed away in January 2021 at the age of 33. In his honor, Els for Autism created The Josh Silver Banks Memorial Scholarship Fund.

When you donate to the Scholarship Fund, you are providing access to the transformative programs and services offered at Els for Autism.
